The Collierville High School Band Program offers a variety of performance opportunities that allow students to develop their musical talents, build leadership skills, and create lasting memories. Pride of Collierville Dragon Band (Marching Band)
The Pride of Collierville Dragon Band is the premier performing ensemble representing Collierville High School throughout the fall season. Students perform at varsity football games, marching competitions, community events, and special performances. Through dedication, teamwork, and excellence, members develop musicianship, leadership, and school spirit while proudly representing Collierville on and off the field.
The Wind Bands of Collierville
The Wind Bands of Collierville consist of three concert ensembles: Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band. These groups provide students with opportunities to perform high-quality concert literature while developing individual musicianship and ensemble performance skills. Through concerts, festivals, honor clinics, and special events, students refine their technique, musical expression, and appreciation for a diverse range of musical styles.
Percussion
The Collierville High School Percussion Program is a dynamic and essential part of every performing ensemble. Percussion students perform with the Pride of Collierville Dragon Band, the Wind Bands of Collierville, Jazz Band, and independantly throughout the year. Through a comprehensive curriculum that includes marching percussion, concert percussion, and keyboard percussion, students develop musicianship, technical proficiency, teamwork, and leadership while contributing to the tradition of excellence within the Collierville High School Band Program.
Dragon Guard
Dragon Guard brings energy, artistry, and athleticism to the Pride of Collierville Dragon Band through dance, flag, rifle, and saber performances. Beyond marching season, members have the opportunity to compete in Winter Guard, with Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Cadet teams (when possible) that perform and compete throughout the winter and spring. Dragon Guard offers students a unique opportunity to build confidence, teamwork, leadership, and performance skills while representing Collierville High School year-round.
Jazz Band
The Jazz Band offers students the opportunity to explore the exciting world of jazz through the study of swing, blues, Latin, rock, and contemporary styles. Students develop improvisation, creativity, and advanced ensemble skills while performing at concerts, festivals, school events, and community performances.
